About TTIA

Role of Thai Tuna Industry Association

In 1970, processed food manufacturers formed an association to improve quality and share market insights. Tuna manufacturers later joined, and on February 15, 1985, a canned tuna manufacturers group was established under it. With growing exports and trade barriers, Thai tuna producers focused on food safety, sustainable fisheries, labor ethics, and trade negotiations. To enhance efficiency, they founded the Thai Tuna Industry Association. It was officially registered on July 25, 2013, and received its license on July 29, 2013.
